Quality fails when checks are optional. In Odoo, quality control points can sit on operation types so inspectors see the right check at the right moment.
- Install and open Quality (Enterprise) or your Digits/CE quality stack if you run Community.
- Open Inventory → Configuration → Operation Types (Receipts, Delivery Orders, Returns).
- Create a control point linked to the operation, product or category, and check type (pass/fail, measure, picture, instructions).
- Process a transfer: the quality check appears before or after validation according to your rule.
- Review failed checks, quarantine stock if needed, and close the loop with manufacturing or vendor claims.
